The Republic of Belarus aims at strategic partnership with ERSO

Within the framework of the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, a government delegation from Minsk visited the ERSO plant in Ufa.
Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Karankevich and Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization Valentin Tataritsky got acquainted with the production of the ERSO holding and discussed the prospects for partnership between the Republic and the leading Russian electrotechnical holding.
“At a meeting with representatives of the Republic of Belarus, we discussed a number of important issues. First of all, production cooperation, - said the President of the ERSO holding Alexander Trishin. – Colleagues highly appreciated the ERSO plant and are considering the possibility of localizing production on the territory of their state. We are ready to offer the implementation of projects for the complex construction of substations. Thus, negotiations are underway with our partners Belenergosetproekt and Belnipienergoprom on participation in the development of a pilot project of a substation with outdoor switchgear and the use of solutions on transformers with a non-combustible dielectric. They also discussed cooperation in the field of service and repairs of transformer equipment in the Republic using the technological and production resources of ERSO. An important aspect that was touched upon at this meeting is metrology, and the issue of mutual recognition of registers of measuring instruments is in its final stage. There is every chance that cooperation between the power engineers of the two countries will reach a new level.”
Now ERSO is working on the production of 330 kV controlled shunt reactors for RUE Brestenergo and Vitebskenergo. As the Minister of Energy of Belarus noted, this contract is extremely important for improving the reliability of the energy system and implementing plans for the development of the energy sector of the Republic of Belarus.
