The ERSO star problem was successfully solved by RANEPA students

The Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA) defended a business case developed by the ERSO electrotechnical holding.
For first-year students of the undergraduate program "Business Management" of the Institute of Industry Management (IOM) of the RANEPA, a difficult task was set - to work out the purchase of a component used for the production of transformer equipment. The case was attended by almost 80 people, who were divided into 20 teams.
Young people collected a pool of supplier companies, requested commercial proposals for the production and delivery of the component, and selected the most economically viable proposals from factories and logistics companies. The students went international: they worked out options for deliveries from India, China, Turkey and other countries.
Despite the complexity of the tasks and the lack of practical experience in logistics, the guys were able to impress the commission.
The winners of the case were the team, which included: Mikhail Korobov, Daniil Sugonyaev, Andrey Svedlov and Mikhail Bolshedvorsky. The guys built the entire logistics system of delivery and provided high-quality analytics for choosing a supplier. The competition commission, which included representatives of the ERSO holding, was pleasantly surprised by the defense of the project. The team was confident and even the most tricky questions were answered.
“For the first year, the guys are great fellows. They entered foreign markets and were not afraid to ask questions about a rather complex type of product that is made exclusively to order. I know well how foreign suppliers communicate. Hindus, for example, may not answer for six months. And the guys were able to achieve results in a short time. I believe that they have a great future,” said Sergey Dumov, a member of the jury, Deputy General Director for Procurement of the ERSO holding.
