Hearts of artists and poets for Elektrozavod

ERSO holding took part in the photo exhibition "Discover Mosprom Art" from the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow on Nikitsky Boulevard.
The exposition tells about the capital's industry through the prism of art. Some of the objects are dedicated to the Electrozavod, which today is part of the ERSO group.
Since 1928, the Elektrozavod has won the hearts of artists and poets. The historical significance of the enterprise is reflected in the canvases "Ilyich's First Light Bulb Among the Collective Farmers" by Semyon Zenkov, "The Order of a Shock Construction Site" by Sergei Luppov, and "Bernard Shaw's Meeting at the Electric Plant" by Sergei Sokolov.
The great poet Vladimir Mayakovsky paid special attention in his work to the production capacities of the Soviet Union. In 1929, after a tour of the Elektrozavod, he wrote "March of the shock brigades." The poet was taken through the workshops, and, inspired by what he saw, he wrote poems that were printed in the factory newspaper «Elektrozavodets".
The old building of the Moscow production site amazes and inspires many today. The architectural design was conceived in the Neo-Gothic style, however, due to the revolution, the design had to be simplified. Despite this, the building is considered one of the most beautiful industrial plants and is an architectural monument.
“Today, over three thousand industrial enterprises operate in the city, more than 130 of them were founded in the pre-war years. The exposition presents poems, paintings, photographs of architectural elements of that time. Vivid images combined with historical details create a portrait of the capital's industry of the late 19th and early 21st centuries and show the role it played in the life of Moscow,” said Alexander Prokhorov, head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
The photo exhibition can be visited today. It will continue to delight residents and guests of the capital until the end of March.
