The projects of the "First Job" competition will become the basis for creating and adjusting the strategies of Career Centers throughout the country, and the winners will receive a grant to implement their ideas.

On Tuesday, April 25, at the site of the "Knowledge.First" Educational Marathon, the Sistema Charitable Foundation, social investment operator AFK Sistema, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and the MTS digital ecosystem, launched the First Job Grant Competition. The purpose of the competition is to find and support the best practices of Career Centers of organizations of secondary vocational and higher education.

AFK Sistema is dozens of companies in various industries: IT and telecom, microelectronics, high-tech forestry and agro-industry, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, medicine, e-commerce, construction and hospitality, finance and retail. The launch of a grant competition for Career Centers is another investment by the Corporation in the future, where companies find their ideal candidates, and young professionals find their dream job.

Educational organizations with Career Centers responsible for career counseling and employment of students and graduates can take part in the competition. The contestants will have to formalize their internship as a course project that will contribute to the development and objective assessment of the soft and hard skills necessary for successful professional development, provide students with information about career opportunities in Sistema Group companies and access to internships. Organizations that offer best practices will receive grant support for the implementation of the project and the opportunity to place their methodology on the online educational platform of the Lift to the Future project. Acceptance of applications starts on the project website on April 27 and will last until June 25.

“The Russian Ministry of Education and Science is actively working to ensure that young people can get involved in solving the real scientific and economic problems of the country as early as possible - and intersectoral cooperation is one of the most direct and effective ways to achieve this goal. The grant competition, which is launching today, takes full advantage of multi-factor partnerships and builds on local initiatives. This means that each participating Career Center will have its own, unique methodology, taking into account all the problems and all perspectives. The projects of the winners will become the basis for creating and adjusting the strategies of Career Centers across the country,” explains Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The official start of the "First Job" competition was given at the stand of the Sistema Charitable Foundation as part of the Knowledge. First Educational Marathon, an annual central event organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge" for the youth of the country.

“The pace of technology development and the speed of their penetration into literally all spheres of life dictates the need for business to look not at a conditional “tomorrow”, but decades ahead. First of all, with regard to the training of future specialists - the personnel reserve of companies, which in 5-10 years will ensure its further growth. The Sistema Charitable Foundation, together with Sistema Group companies, has been doing this work for several years. The search for and support of talents, their support at the start of a career trajectory is a road with oncoming traffic, in which not only business, but also the state participates - educational organizations, public institutions and, of course, the children themselves - schoolchildren, students and graduates, their parents, facing one of the most important choices in life. In this regard, the Fund acts as a consolidator of interests of all parties. Here, at the stand of the Sistema Charitable Foundation as part of the Knowledge.First marathon, we meet with representatives of major employers, representatives of the rectors' corps and future specialists in order to build a constructive and meaningful conversation, to which we invite everyone," the President of the Charity Sistema Foundation Larisa Pastukhova.
