The fifth and sixth units will soon go to the Kursk nuclear power plant.

The holding's employees have manufactured two ROMBS-110000/750/35U1 reactors, the destination of which will be the city of Kurchatov (Kursk Region). ERSO specialists will supply, unload to the foundations and supervise the installation of equipment.

The Kursk nuclear power plant is the third largest nuclear power plant in the Russian Federation. For her, as part of a joint program with Rosenergoatom Concern JSC to replace shunt reactors, the ERSO electrotechnical holding will manufacture ten machines.

A shunt reactor is a device with high inductance and low resistance. Reactors consume reactive power, thereby reducing the voltage in the network. In this regard, they are used to increase the capacity of ultra-high voltage lines, unloading them in terms of reactive power, as well as to regulate reactive power and voltage.
