Zulfiya Yalalova: when you “burn” with electrical engineering

The leading design engineer of UTZ of the ERSO holding not only develops innovative products, but also promotes science.
“There was a period in my life when I worked in the energy department of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan,” says Zulfiya Yalalova, Leading Design Engineer of UTZ of ERSO Holding. “However, I realized that this is not mine. I am more attracted to production, workshops, the noise of machines, and most importantly, the ability to solve production problems. I was happy when I had the opportunity to return to the factory.”
What is definitely “her” and what she wants to do, Zulfiya realized as a child while watching movies. The catalyst was not Back to the Future and other sci-fi movies, but the warm Christmas Home Alone. The brave boy Kevin used traps against the robbers, and Zulfiya wondered: how exactly are they arranged? What mechanisms and forces are involved in their work?
Curiosity led to an active acquaintance with the outside world, and at school - to the study of textbooks in physics, chemistry and mathematics. Yalalova began to participate in olympiads and brain-rings at various levels. I was lucky with the teachers: the science of the laws of nature was taught by a person who was sincerely in love with the subject. Under his leadership, Zulfiya wrote her first "adult" work about perpetual motion and its benefits for all mankind.
After graduation, the girl entered the Beloretsk branch of the Ufa Aviation Technical University at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics. In the third year, a move to the capital of Bashkortostan followed. On the fourth - work as a laboratory assistant.
In February 2010, at the newly opened UTZ, Zulfiya got acquainted with the production of transformers for the first time. This makes a strong impression on her, and since then the girl has been “fired up” with electrical engineering. In addition, there is an offer to work at the plant as a design engineer.
After receiving a red diploma and entering graduate school, Yalalova plunges into vigorous scientific activity. There, participation in TRAVEK practical conferences (first as a listener, then as a speaker), exchange of experience with colleagues from abroad, business trips, obtaining a Ph.D.
“I met leading scientists and the best experts in the field,” recalls Zulfiya Yalalova. — It inspired me a lot. I came to ERSO with sparkling eyes, especially when I learned that new design challenges lay ahead. I maintain contacts with those specialists and consult with them in the course of my work.”
In parallel with the work of a design engineer, Zulfiya is fond of popularizing science. For delegations coming to the plant, she gives lectures and excursions, where she explains the essence of the production of transformers in a simple and accessible language. Even if such a scientific pop has a fairly local scale, but, according to Zulfiya, the main thing is that it benefits people.
Now Yalalova does not go to big conferences yet. However, he continues to write scientific articles, makes presentations at universities, participates in forums, develops methodologies and tests for testing knowledge among working personnel at UTZ.
And when will the doctoral dissertation follow? She will definitely be, says Zulfiya. Practice, without which science is extremely difficult, is available. It remains to "pump up" knowledge a little.
