The University Shift was held at Tomsk State University, organized by the Movement of the First public movement of children and youth with support of the Sistema Charitable Foundation.
For 10 days, 100 school goers and college students from the Siberian, Far Eastern, Central and Volga Federal Districts immersed themselves in the real student life of one of the country's leading universities and learned about its educational programs. Thanks to the support of the Sistema Charitable Foundation, the kids also communicated with representatives of specialized employers - partners of the foundation, from whom they learned about the technologies and innovations currently used in production, the most demanded professions and specialties on the labor market, as well as what employers expect from employees.
Thus, head of personnel training and development of JSC ERSO HOLDING Elena Khairetdinova told the participants of the career guidance program about the holding's activities, its history, the role of power transformers in the daily life of every Russian, and expanded on the career prospects of the company's employees.
“Modern industry is experiencing an acute shortage of qualified engineers, and ERSO Holding, as a major national employer, is actively involved in solving this problem, including through work with young people. As part of the University Shifts, we strive to show school students how the work in the electrical engineering industry can be demanded, interesting and promising. It is important for us to make the kids realize today that their knowledge and ideas can become the basis for real technological breakthroughs of tomorrow,” Elena Khairetdinova said.
