ERSO workers are trained in additional professions

Optimization of production implies, among other things, the improvement of labor processes. There is a possibility that additional recruitment will be fraught with excessive inflating of the staff, while the reduction can negatively affect the quality and timing of production. In this case, the development of additional professions by workers is quite capable of preventing the above-mentioned problems.

For example, at the Ufa Transformer Plant, courses are organized for assemblers and winders, where they are taught such specializations as a slinger and a crane operator.

“The most competent and responsible employees undergo training,” says Marina Kozlovskaya, Head of the Occupational Health, Industrial Safety and Ecology Department of the UTZ of the ERSO holding. “Also, those who have been working with a crane for a long time, know the principles of working with this mechanism, are a priority.”

However, Kozlovskaya emphasizes that although experience is an important factor, it does not guarantee successful assimilation of a specialty in a new place. A person can sling or load logs with a crane for ten years, that is, get used to the rough handling of the load. Whereas in the production of high-tech equipment, delicacy and knowledge of how to fix or move the elements of the transformer are important so as not to damage them.

The training is conducted by the teacher of the Bashkir Intersectoral Institute of Occupational Safety, Ecology and Industrial Safety Evgeny Shaldybin. He tells students about the nuances of crane control, types of slings (chain, rope, textile), the specifics of their application, etc.

If we dwell on this topic in a little more detail, then, for example, rope slings are very strong, can withstand enormous weight, chain slings are compact, flexible, durable, and are not afraid of sharp edges of the load. The advantages of textile slings are lightness, safety, "immunity" to cold, resistance to oil, solvents, most acids. Each type has its own characteristics.

The full course for a crane driver is 296 hours, for a slinger - 140 hours. There is no such amount of time at the disposal of assemblers, winders and site foremen.

“The teacher redesigned the program, reducing the theory and increasing the number of practical hours,” continues Marina Kozlovskaya. - After the completion of the practice, the workers fill out a special diary dedicated to the topics on which they performed their work, a responsible instructor is appointed. A certificate of completion is issued.

In fact, workers get a full-fledged second profession. Nevertheless, no one intends to abandon the "traditional" slingers and crane operators. They will be involved in areas of work that require greater precision and delicacy.
