ERSO took 3rd place at the AFK Sistema Winter Spartakiad-2023

In their division, among 9 national teams, the holding's employees took 3rd place. "Gold" and "silver" were won by the teams of Sitronics and AFK Sistema.
On the territory of the Cosmos Collection Izumrudny Les eco-hotel and the Okhotator's Estate country club in the Klinsky district of the Moscow region, the 5th Winter Spartakiade of AFK Sistema-2023 was held. More than 400 athletes from 18 teams representing the assets of the corporation took part in it: AFK Sistema, BF Sistema, MTS, MTS Bank, Segezha Group, MEDSI, Etalon, Concept Group, ERSO, Aeromax, Arkhyz, Business real estate, Cosmos Hotel Group, BPGC, Sitronics, Votex, Element, Binnopharm.
Participants competed in 6 disciplines: hockey, curling, shooting, ice fishing, family relay race, cross-country skiing. The latter included competitions in free and classical styles, sprint and relay.
The ERSO holding took part in the Spartakiad for the first time, which did not prevent the debutants from winning the third place in their division (there were 2 in total, each with 9 teams). "Gold" went to the Sitronics team, members of the AFK "Sistema" team became vice-champions.
ERSO was represented by: Director for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption Zhannat Seralinov (together with his wife and daughter in the family relay race), Deputy Director of the Quality Department Anton Rumyantsev (hockey), Vice President for HR Sergey Garifullin (ice fishing), Leading Chef engineer Eduard Mannanov (hockey, ice fishing), vice-president for security Ruslan Fayzeev (shooting).
Piotr Beresnev, head of the test station, Natalya Riikonen, control foreman, and Ilnur Kiekbaev, process engineer, represented the ski discipline. Environmental Engineer Rustem Zaripov, Deputy Director for ACHD Ruslan Sokolov, Chief PR and Marketing Specialist Sergei Smirnov, Director of the Marketing Department Semyon Rabkin formed a curling team.
ERSO employees showed their best in cross-country skiing and curling: it was for these disciplines that the most points were scored. However, the other members of the electrotechnical holding team also brought points to the common “piggy bank”, thanks to which they managed to snatch the “bronze” from the main competitor, the Business Real Estate company (it took fourth place).
“We have been developing a sports culture in the Corporation for 20 years already, we regularly hold two large-scale events — the summer and for the fifth time — the winter Spartakiad, in which employees of Sistema and its portfolio companies take part,” said the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Spartakiad, the AFK business manager "System" Evgeny Veselov. “Through corporate sports, we bring together employees of the same interests, create opportunities for interaction in the team, build horizontal connections within and between work teams, and also contribute to solving the nationwide task of introducing as many people as possible to a healthy lifestyle. This is an important part of the social policy of our companies as responsible employers who care about the health of their staff. Our goal is to increase the proportion of employees who systematically go in for sports at the Group's enterprises, which employ more than 140,000 people in total.”
In 2022 alone, Sistema Group companies spent more than RUB 200 million on sports development and health support programs. The most popular sports among the Group's employees are football, volleyball, basketball, running, skiing, hockey, table tennis, cycling, triathlon, yoga, SUP surfing, darts, e-sports, etc. are also practiced. Digital tools for engaging employees in sports and healthy lifestyles are widely used, such as online fitness training and marathons.
