ERSO people. Vitaly Agapov: learning professionalism all his life

29.11.2022
The ERSO holding employs real specialists in their field, always ready for new labor challenges.

Craftsmanship is like a diamond - after polishing one of its facets, several others immediately open up behind it. Vitaly Agapov, the shift foreman at the Moscow production site, knows this very well. For thirty-one years he has been working at the factory. All this time he is improving, learning something new, "pumping" his skills and abilities.

Agapov graduated from the Moscow Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation (now MIREA - Russian Technological University). At first he worked in one of the metropolitan research institutes. The year 1991 came, there was no money. But at the Electrozavod, they paid themselves quite well. Vitaliy emphasizes: salaries were always given out here, on time and in money. So it was in the nineties, zero, tenth, twenties ...

At the enterprise, Agapov worked as an assembler of conventional and furnace transformers, then he became a foreman. This position meant not only the management of workers - the foreman worked on an equal footing with everyone.

Once there was a problem. Vitaliy slipped unsuccessfully on the street and, having fallen, received a serious injury, the consequences of which are still being felt.

“I couldn’t work as before, but I didn’t want to work badly,” recalls the transformer builder.

Agapov left to work as a shift foreman. However, in the new place, practical knowledge on the construction of units was not only not forgotten, but also improved. For example, looking at the process of creating a product from the outside, Vitaly can appreciate the quality and ease of assembly. This allows you to recommend that you make the necessary design changes.

In the 2000s, I often had to go on business trips. Work in the field became another milestone both in Agapov's work biography and in his history of professional development.

The transformer builder was strongly impressed by orders for nuclear power plants. This became a new challenge for Vitaly Agapov, because, according to his confession, no matter what knowledge he had, no matter what experience he had, it turned out that one could know even more. Building equipment for nuclear power plants, he continued to grow as a craftsman and as an assembler.

Agapov says that, despite his solid work experience, he is ready to develop further. Moreover, after the purchase of the Electrozavod by AFK Sistema and the formation of the ERSO holding, there were a lot of orders, and all people are in business.

“I have a very good relationship with the plant. Here they always paid money, there was always work. After the arrival of Sistema, the assemblers received a salary increase, new equipment, machines and tools appeared. More orders began to arrive - there is room to grow!
