ERSO holding focuses on digital

According to the Ministry of Energy of Russia, by the end of 2021, electricity consumption increased to 1 trillion 107 billion kWh, and generation to 1 trillion 131 billion kWh.
Compared to 2020, an increase in consumption was recorded up to 5.4%, and output - by more than 6%.
After the lockdown associated with the pandemic, electricity consumption in Russia is recovering much faster than market regulators expected.
An increase relative to 2019 was recorded throughout the country, with the exception of the Ural and Volga federal districts. At the same time, the largest increase occurred in the North Caucasus (plus 7.3%), in the Far East (5.5%) and in the Southern Federal District (4.9%).
It is interesting that the record of power consumption in the Unified Energy System (UES) of the country was set on December 22 last year (power engineers celebrate their professional holiday on this day). It reached 159.48 GW. This is 2 GW higher than the previous record set back in 2012 - 157.43 GW.
According to experts, the Russian energy system has a "substantial reserve of strength" sufficient to double GDP or 20% increase in peak electricity consumption. In addition, the ERSO holding is able to provide the country's power infrastructure with reliable and efficient equipment.
